John J. Hancock, 86, of Soddy-Daisy, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013.Born on June 10, 1927, he was preceded in death by his wives, Wealtha and Linda Hancock; son, Don Hancock; mother, Virginia Keltch; and brothers, Jimmy, Shorty, David and Noah Keltch.John was a member of the Alhambra Shrine Temple, Eastern Star and the Daisy Masonic Lodge #706 F&AM. John served his country in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II.Survivors include his children, Mickey (Sharon) Hancock, Nancy (Chuck) Grant, Randy Raulston and Amanda (Jacob) Shelby; grandchildren, Angie (Tim) Hill, Kimberly Hancock, Ashley Hancock, Tracy Ables, Andi (Earl) Finell, Christy (Trey) Alexander, Donna (Jason) Stone, James and Jackson Shelby, Don (Terri) Walker; great-grandchildren, Sunshine Finell, Trevor Walker, Raigan McCarter, Tyler, Trace, Caden Alexander, Brayden Stone, Kaitlyn Walker and John Dakota Grant; siblings, Charles Keltch and a very special sister-in-law, Juanita, J.T. Keltch, Mary Runyan, Rosie White, John, Mark, Tim and Joe Keltch.Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ed Gravett and the Rev.
