Alma Dorena Hale, 70, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Memorial Hospital. A longtime resident of Rhea County, she was a seamstress and was of the Baptist faith. She was a graduate of Bledsoe County High School. She was preceded in death by son, Teddy Hale; parents, Victor Alexander and Ella Standifer Ewton; two brothers, Huel Wilson and Jim Foster Ewton. Survivors include daughter, Cindy Gailor, Dayton; daughter-in-law, Karen Hale, Dayton; five grandchildren, Tedra Riley, Daniel Hale, James Gailor, Ray and Darius Fugate; great-grandson, Cameron Riley; two sisters, Alvarena (Don Wayne) Thomas, Sale Creek, Tenn., Helen (Alton) Graham, Dunlap, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Lewis Cemetery, Pikeville, Tenn. with the Rev. Terry Bolton officiating. Visitation 5 to 9 p.m. today at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home.
