Mickey Harwood, 78, died Saturday, May 17, 2014, at his home. Mr. Harwood was a 1955 graduate of Rhea County High School. He was of the Methodist faith, a Bledsoe County Commissioner, where he served as chairman; a former Mayor of Pikeville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a lifetime member of the VFW. Preceded in death by parents, Bradford and Ruby Harwood; sister, Frankie Harwood. Survivors include wife, Maxine Harwood, Pikeville; daughter, Kim Langston, Pikeville; son, Dr. Greg (Tracy) Harwood, Cartersville, Ga.; Butch Roberson, Pikeville; grandchildren, Casey Shaver, Ashley (Zac) Roberson, James Harwood, Anna Harwood, Austin and Sawyer Landers; great-grandchildren, Tyler Young, Tate and Tucker Shaver, Avery and Zander Roberson; sister, Priscilla (Charlie) Corvin, Dayton; Carolyn (Tommy) Kelly, Dayton; brother, Johnny Harwood, Graysville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.
