Peter Sokotovich studies in a storage room during his lunch break before returning to cleans the lunchroom at Ooltewah Middle School late Thursday morning. Sokotovich was a family physician in the Ukraine but after coming to the United States as a refugee he has had to resort to working full time as a janitorial supervisor at Ooltewah Middle School to support himself, his wife, mother in law, and daughters while working to get his medical license in America.
