Jorge Vazquez Sanchez is led out of the federal courthouse in San Antonio. A stake in a yet-to-be-made movie about the life of Jesus Christ’s mother with mega-preacher Joel Osteen of the Lakewood Church as executive producer could soon be held by the U.S. government. Sanchez, accused laundering Mexican drug profits, allegedly got the screenplay for “Mary, Mother of Christ” in the first place by extorting a Mexican businessman and kidnapping his brother. That businessman had gotten it after foreclosing on a business loan to the co-writer of the blockbuster “The Passion of the Christ.”
