My friend and I start the Longest yardsale in Chattanooga. We fell in love with the city. In fact, we come early so we can spend a day or two in the city. We also spent a lot of money in Chattanooga and Signal Mountain. It would be sad to think we were considered a nuisance.

US Highway 127 is over 700 miles long, and the "World's Longest Yard Sale" occupies most of it during the first weekend of August. The Chattanooga/Signal Mt. area is roughly 25 miles of this expedition. With so much to see in other spots along the route, I suggest driving right by this section. Personally, I don't want to spend my $$$ somewhere it isn't wanted or needed. Chattanooga can thank the Times Free Press and their Mr. Kennedy, opinion columnist, for the decrease in tourism revenue. I suppose 127-haters in this area would be more likely to embrace the event when their property taxes increase.
