Christian Family Bookstore continues to run smoothly since its opening in June of 1990.

Twenty-one years later, as the bookstore’s name implies, the business continues to be family-owned and operated by Tucker and Donna Williams and their son Mark and his wife Bridgett.

The family strives to help customers select Bibles, reference books and Bible teaching materials. The family enjoys serving customers for the cause of Christ.

Donna Williams said she began the family business after a bookstore she worked for relocated.

“We try to see what the customers need and fulfi ll it the best we can,” said Donna Williams. The Williams family enjoys meeting new customers and being able to help someone fi nd that special Bible for a loved one. They provide Bibles that are a word for word translation from the Greek and come in many sizes from compact to extra large print. There are Bibles for babies, children, teens and adults. The Williams family said the bookstore is unique because it offers a reading area, children’s section, a full line of Sunday school materials, puppets, personalized customer service and Bible engraving on site.

Christian Family Bookstore’s favorite customer moment was a special order Bible purchase for tornado victims made by Ringgold Church of Christ.

The Williams family said the challenge has been keeping customers shopping through slow economic times. The family set a goal to continue growing its customer base by satisfying customers. The Christian Family Bookstore can ship anywhere in the United States, Canada and other countries.

The Christian Family Bookstore, at 5319 Ringgold Road in East Ridge, is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The store is closed Saturday and Sunday.
