John Linderman’s Furniture Closeouts/Mattress Warehouse works with customers to make comfortable mattresses an affordable dream for everyone. “We are still a family business and we try to fi t every purchase to one’s budget,” Linderman said. “We set our margins to fi t the economic times. We understand that money is tight and want to help each customer. I’m trying to offer pricing for the serious consumer on a serious budget. We offer a free three month layaway plan. We feel we are north Georgia’s ‘best kept secret’ and that our customers get the most bang for their buck.”

Linderman’s Furniture Sales opened as a humble mom and pop store run by Linderman’s father, Jerry, who owned the business from 1988 until his death in 2003. When John took over the family business it still focused solely on home furniture.

“At that time I took over the store and changed it into a mattress store,” said John Linderman, who renamed the business Furniture Closeouts/Mattress Warehouse. “We still carry all home furnishings but we focus on bedding sales.”

At Linderman’s there are a variety of mattress options to choose between such as pocketed coil, pillow top, Euro top and organic mattresses. Bedroom suites are available with some market special suites that cost under $1,000.

Linderman also offers disco memory foam mattresses, which he said is the same quality as a Tempur-Pedic mattress. Since Linderman changed the focus of the business to mattresses and bed suites solely, he has been successful. However, Linderman said it is the business’ supportive customer service and discounted pricing that sets the Furniture Closeouts/Mattress Warehouse apart from other stores. The Mattress Warehouse offers free delivery in the Chattanooga area within a 20-mile radius of the store and will dispose of the old bedding at no extra cost to the customer.
