it shouldn't surprise anyone that TSSAA has conveniently avoided a blatant conflict of interest on the TSSAA staff getting as much press attention as this SMHS incident has. a Sequatchie HS football faculty member serves on the TSSAA board and was responsible for opening the investigation that started this mess, something that had until then gone unnoticed. if the TSSAA truly had a problem with this player they would have had the sense and the means to investigate the issue prior to the start of the season.
petty small twon politics aside, any adults spitting venom and holding grudges towards any high school because of football pride should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. lots of big mature adults fighting like toddlers anonymously on an internet comment string over their childrens' school's sports program. really? in public this is the kind of stuff that gets you barred from attending games. SMHS has plenty of these types as does does every other school in the region. anybody that's heard of the bible before should know who really deserves to throw stones in this situation -- no one.
