smckenzie514, it is an insult to the Native American people to compare anything about them to illegal aliens who have INVADED our country. They were natives that were run off THEIR own land. Illegal aliens are trespassers to our land and trying to do the same to the American people.
I choose to learn from the mistakes of the Native Americans in dealing with invaders... had they not aided and abetted the pilgrims they may not have lost their land to them.
As I recall the Golden Rule states that we should do unto others as we would have others do unto us. First of all, I would never sneak into a person's home (and my country is my home) like a thief. I would fully expect someone to punish me if I entered their home without their permission.
As for "The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you; you shall love the alien as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God."... just like a typical illegal alien supporter you ignore the 'illegal' part. God doesn't say love the ILLEGAL alien and God does say in the Bible that we are to obey the laws. We Americans have embraced and loved people from all over the world who have come to our country legally. We welcome over a million new citizens each year... people who have respected our country by obeying our laws. There are plenty of ways for people to come here legally if they qualify. Those who don't qualify (diseased, criminal background, unable to afford it) don't belong here. We have requirements for coming here so that we can protect our people and our way of life.
My grandparents came here from Mexico legally and I expect the same from any and everyone else in the world.
