So, Mr. Indian, if someone in your family tries to rob someone, then whenever you receive visitors afterwards, they should leave their money at home even though everyone else in your family is a productive, upstanding citizen. There is no logic to your comment as always.

Only a moron who obviously lives in a bubbble would make a comment like that. The lack of minority leadership in sports in our area schools should be a concern to all fans, black or white. The fact that it does not concern you says a lot about you. The diversity of the leadership in the classroom and in athletics should almost mirror the diversity of the community. I agree with Dr. Scales that black applicants should continue to apply for these positions, however, the school system needs to step up its recruiting efforts if they are not seeing the desired number of minority applicants. Perception is reality, and the perception is that qualified black applicants are not getting these positions, so why apply. Dr. Scales and his administration need to step up on this issue. I graduated from Brainerd High School and know Coach High and Coach Jackson. Besides being great coaches, they are great educators and great people. They would be an asset to any school in the area, and they would have been just as successful at Ooltewah or Red Bank as they have been at Brainerd.
