That's good news about the jobs for people that need them, but this sucks for me. Amazon is a neat company. I like to shop on Amazon.com because their service is great, free shipping, lower prices, and best of all NO TAX. Amazon does not charge tax on purchases in TN, but when this distribution center opens they will have to. I dislike paying taxes to Tennessee. This state is sooo lame and backwards. They rarely ever do anything constructive with the income.

All I have to say is that the North won so all you backwards southerners can get over it. I'm sure if most of you southerners had it your way you would continue slavery or "send them back to where ever they came from."

There is no such thing as "southern hospitality" and there never has been. It's something the Sunday Christians of the fake bible belt made up. Maybe a few practiced it but not the majority. Going back to slavery only a few slave owners were decent humane "masters."

This city is slowly turning into a warzone. There are only a couple of neighborhoods that haven't been infected yet with these thugs, meth heads, and gangs.

A 50 year old male getting into an argument with a 20 something and then things go incredibly wrong. Sounds like a bad drug deal or prostitution. However, I have no idea. Just sounds kind of odd. Maybe the other people in the car will shed some light on the situation.

"Dear Leader" is your president. Respect that or get out.

"Socialism and communism".....oh gosh that's all you anti-Obama people have as ammunition. What a joke.

I'm not a Dem or Rep and I don't agree with everything that I've heard or read about the current proposal, but I'm sure not into being a bigot towards the president. All these people against the whole thing never have any proposal themselves. Being against something just to be against something doesn't make you cool...that's what the 60's were for.

I totally agree with what the above user posted. Except for the black/white statement….No matter what ethnicity the criminal is they usually don't serve any long terms in prison unless the crime includes multiple people getting killed, but even then the person who does the killing gets pampered in the hospital if they have any wounds. Then it takes like months or years for them to even get sentenced. I say the "justice system" should start torturing these criminals.

Anyways, yes this violence in this city is out of control. These scumbags need to be shipped overseas to the frontlines without any training but just as a distraction to help the real soldiers or something.

The condo living and office spaces downtown are wayyy overpriced for this city. Why would anybody how wants to really live life want to pay such high prices to be in a small, slow growing downtown. Downtown Chattanooga has a small city rural feel and is surrounded by bad neighborhoods filled with crime. This is a small city so these people need to stop acting like it's a big city. Small cities usually have non-existent downtown areas like this one here. Go a couple hours south or north to Atlanta or Nashville. Their downtown areas are much better than Chattanooga.

More scum of the earth shooting at each other, making this city even worse than it already is. I say put all these ghetto scum people some kind of death bowl or death match and let them have at it. This city is too small to have this much violence. I can't wait to escape this place.
