This is ludicrous. Sure build the town houses at the taxpayer's expense. Within the year after their occupation they will be the slums. Poverty is one thing, but filth and trash is yet another. The people who normally live in public housing have no respect for themselves, their living conditions or others but expect to be cared for by people who work and are bled dry by a corrupt socialist government ran and controlled by idiots. Get real - it isn't their money that is being spent but money they (local, state and federal governments) extort from the taxpayer to reward the deadbeats.
I nearly died about 4 years ago with an pulmonary embolism. A thromboses test revealed that I was genetically pron. My attack was just one of those things that finally happened. In order to keep it in check now, I am required to stay on medications to control it and have to have lab tests done not less than once a month to monitor my levels. This will be for the remainder of my life. The reason I am saying this is that there is no proof directly or indirectly that his tazing caused his demise. It seems that every time the police are forced to use any force certain segments of the public want to start pointing fingers. Just remember is Janice Jacks had used force in her situation she may still be alive today. I wasn't there when this guy was tazed but I do know that tazing is not deadly force. It comes down to the point, no one wants to step into the officer's shoes but yet they are more than willing to point fingers. Why don't people just grow up and see the reality of things.
Recently my doctor sent me to Skyridge Hosp. in Cleveland, Tn., for a test that he needed the results on that day. The red tape at the hospital was incredible. Joking around, I made the comment, "If I were an illegal I wouldn't be jumping through all these hoops would I?". I was politely informed that I would not because there are special funds set up for "those people". Bottom line is, our government, the people we elect to serve us, cater to those who make no contribution to the tax base. Socialism and betrayal by our government at its best.
