Hmmm...Mak had "illness" and "travel scheduling" issues?? We did not need that arrogant person/attitude for this fund raiser to be successful. Congrats to "Chattanooga Dancing With the Stars"!

Mak had an "illness" in addition to a "scheduling problem"....hmmm. We did not need that arrogant personality attending our great fund raiser. It was extremely successful without his presence. Congrats to Chattanooga Dancing with the Stars and their successful fund raiser!

The article in the TFP states "Motorcycle slams head-on into SUV". According to the following paragraph it is stated that the SUV crossed over the center line and struck the motorcycle. Your headline should have read "SUV slams head-on into motorcycle". That is a big difference. What's up????

BRAVO...the people within the Chattanooga Police Department have spoken and their wishes have been honored. We don't need and never needed someone from Houston or an other "outsider" to handle our Police Department.
I wish this same process would happen within the Hamilton County Education Department. The Hamilton County Education group has always looked for an "outsider" to handle/solve our educational issues...i.e. Dr. Scales and all of the previous superintendents hired within the past x number of years. Let us take a look at the talent we have in Chattanooga. People who KNOW the regs and rules of Hamilton County and who also know the students who are suppose to be our main concern.

First of all there are over 4000 names on the petition vs. 1000 stated in your article. Second of all...no working air conditioning for three weeks (if indeed that did occur). Deplorable!! I would assume that THAT is Hamilton Place Mall's problem because this "pet store" was inside the Mall.
Letters that I have read from customers, observers and mainly from employees must and I assume WILL be taken into account when they face the Judge July 1. Kudos to McKamey Animal Shelter for being able to take in these abused critters. My donation to McKamey is upcoming NOW.

We agree with Abra's philosophy "The customer is ultimately the king". We certainly experienced that attitude. Thank you! Without happy customers, businesses don't succeed. Mary Jo and Michael Ulin

I don't understand how an ATM card or a debit card can be used by a thief because a password or code number must be entered before using these cards. Obtaining gas at a fuel depot is the only business of which I am aware that does not require a passcode or signature.
When stolen cards are used at a retail business and accepted, it is because the cashier has neglected to check the signature on the card and/or ask for ID.
I have asked numerous businesses about this issue when I have charged items. "Why didn't you ask for my ID or compare the signature?" Answer was..."We are too busy to do that". Those businesses who do ask for ID...I thank them!! This should be mandatory for businesses to ask for ID or to check the signature when a credit card is used because of the rampant theft that is happening. To me it's a "no brainer".
As I mentioned above in my first sentence, a password or code is always mandatory when using an ATM machine or using a debit card. I am really puzzled about this.

Was not the initial idea of creating a lottery for the State of Tennessee "for the children...education"? With this record sales for February, the educational "fund" in Tennessee should have many millions in its coffer. Who is responsible in Nashville to give we citizens an accounting of these funds? I certainly have not seen anything in the news as to the amount of money available for our Tennessee students' education after several years of profits with the lottery. The amount of money that actually has been given for college scholarships vs the residual in the "savings account" or possibly used for other issues might be a good story?
