While the stink bug has been found in a few places in northern parts of Tennessee, it hasn't made its way to Chattanooga yet.

Yes it has. I have been seeing them at my house in Hixson for s few weeks. I have just been gingerly picking them up and dropping them into a container of alcohol. That kills them.

To all these these people that are crying foul on needing a picture ID to vote, get over it. You need an picture ID to cash a check? I don't hear you screaming and crying about that. If you don't want to get a proper ID to vote, then stay away from the polls. Plain and simple. Apparently there must be something you are hiding from if you refuse to get a picture ID. Or maybe you're a vampire and can't be photographed. ;-)

I have to agree with Mr.Goodman. All political office should have term limits set as well as a pay scale cap . Perks and benefits should be eliminated, including free lifetime retirement pay for which they are eligible for after one term. Let them all pay into a 401k or similar like the rest of us. Eliminate their free health insurance, as well as their automatic yearly pay raises. It's time politicians should have to live like the rest of us.

In response to Mr. Smith's letter regarding the "Big Bank" Ripoff, I have this to say. Be rest assured that any complaint to the government about any of the big banks will fall on deaf ears. Nothing will be done whatsoever because "Big Bank" has way too much influence in politics. However one way we can all let them know how we feel is take all our business from them and move to the smaller locally owned banks and credit unions. In other words, hit them where it hurts them the most, in the pockets.

Sandy. I think you may want to read the letter a little more carefully. #1, it was not her friends dog. #2, the woman that did own the dog was arrested therefore had no access to her keys to send them to anyone to let the dog out. #3, she stated in the letter that the dogs owner was very intimidating and considered dangerous. So yes, Ms Crabtree is justified in her disgust in the unwillingness of HES and McKamey to help. I know I am disgusted with them.
