THERE WILL COME A TIME WHEN ALL THAT LIVETH WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE
(REVELATION 20: 11-13)
Revelation 20: 11 “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and he was found no place for them.”
There will be justice that the earth has never seen in time. Those that have disturbed the earth and its people and all things that liveth will be counted. “Great White Throne,” indicates purity and justice. We also would be remiss if we did not note that there is a belief coming from the Afro-Centric community that the notation of White being pure and Black the opposite is a confession of racial superiority and Black inferiority. However, we come to note that the Bible in no way contributes to any racist thoughts conjured up by anyone Black or White.
The next chapter will tell us of the new heaven and the new earth. Thus there is an agreement noted here in those that will be rendered peace and those that will be rendered some other measure of judgment.
Follow us over to II Peter 3 for a word on this verse that will help with our on-going inspiration and understanding.
Many Bible scholars note the beginning of II Peter 3 and the first 7 verses to reflect on “Mockery In the Last Days.” These are the days for many that still come denying the ever presence of the Lord. Our primary verse here is verse 7.
II Peter 3: 7 “But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.”
The Heavens and earth noted here is the same as noted in the 5th verse. Heavens and earth were created by the word of God.
After the people of the earth were destroyed by the flood except Noah and his family the heavens and earth were left still in existence and once again the earth was inhabited by people. Meanwhile the earth will be permitted to remain until the Day of Judgment because man is to live on it that long. But those that do not believe that God created the Heavens and the earth see not these things. Meanwhile there is peace in the waiting for the righteous.
