Well Haslam wont save taft... it is up to the representatives now! I wish I had the ability to tell the big money makers in central office that they have to leave that desk and come to the mountain and maintain these boys. Mrs O Day has no reguard for the saftey of staff or students in the other facilities. Not saying they are not quailfied to handle these boys but they do not have the resources to work day in and day out with em. Take 20 gangmembers that have been controled with mace and cuffs for 9 months and put them in a facility with none of that, not even a fence and see what happens. So then you spend the money to bring all the resources that taft already has to another facility and you call it saving money. Sounds like they just want to relocate taft to the city to increase the employment rate in Nashville. Gov. Haslam is priming this state for private sector and he is startin with childrens services... wish i could get some of that kick back money that he and "kate" will recieve long after thier state service is up. People need to open there eyes and see that the Gov. is just trying to fatten his pocket before he is voted out. Think about who owns pilot before you fill your tank there because he makes a big state salary check from your tax dollars not to mention the state workers such as troopers, tdot, and the like who use state funded debit cards to fill state vehicle gas tanks... Boy Mr. Gov. you sur do got it made of course you dont care about taft but you will dig up 30 million to fund a private prison in Hardeman County, wonder how much of that you got back already. Maybe you will run into a young man who could use tafts services and he will take some of that hard eaned money offyour hands in a very unpolite way. Dont call taft when new visions and woodlasnd hills are buckin it to the max, might as well call them folks down in Hardeman County to come help wit those young men, im sure they will be able to afford to help. THe wise choice would be for you and "KATE" to come up with a plan B before you end up with a FAT law suit.

One thing everyone is forgetting is what taft does for the local communities. The facility grows pumpkins and gourds and donates these to the local pre-school and elementary schools in the area. How happy would it make your to see your chld smiling as they show you thr free jack o lantern and gourds that they got from taft at Halloween. Or when a adult or child is lost in the community or it the local state park Fall Creek Falls, The taft K-9 team has responded many times to assist and they have rescued people before it has been in the local headlines. This goes far beyond the boys at taft, who are taft number one priority, gang members is thier business and they do business well. You might have seen for your self if you have ever watched a taft football game. I think we should all meet up and march on nashville to show that we strongly disagree with the closure. We need to be there for taft cause it will be there for us when we need it. Unless those fat pocket beaurocrats in nashville see the light, the gang problem will grow. Just watch any CHATT news station at 5 pm.
