You don't obtain security by foregoing liberty. The scanners have stopped ZERO terrorists since their introduction. The TSA has also stopped ZERO terrorists since its creation. Both should go. They neither provide security nor enhance safety.

@j17davis If you have ever been to band camp (or perhaps any sports camp), you would understand. FWIW, the story didn't say she couldn't walk, but that she could BARELY walk. IOW she could walk, but it hurt.

I watched a GSP Trooper type on his laptop keyboard as he was passing me. Had the roles been reversed, who would have been pulled over? He was exceeding the speed limit in addition to being inattentive.

Was the photo of an Illinois cemetery the only thing that could be located in the vast resources available to the AP and TFP? Sheesh! You could at least show a photo from Mississippi. Nothing in the story even touches on Illinois.

Too bad that he won't see swift punishment, but the State of Connecticut will get to feed and house him for years before he finally gets what he deserves.

Those moonshiners are a terrible threat to society. They don't pay protection money (I mean taxes) to the government. We can have enterprising people making a product people want without the government getting their cut of the action.
