So, the takeaway to this is Ramsey says a tax is not a tax.
By logical extension then, an income tax would not be an income tax.
Don Sundquist II rides in to the rescue.
Stay in the General Assembly and do no more harm.
A lot of these hospitals have overbuilt their capacity and need to service their debt. They don't need to service federal income taxpayers by milking federal matching dollars though a fake state tax.
Zach, step up and stop Ron's spending of your federal money.
Most of us middle class, more so than the poor and the wealthy, rely on efficient and capable businessmen like Governor Bill Haslam to take risks in the allocation of their capital resources in order to provide us with gasoline and motor oil so we can be mobile and even move from Knoxville to Chattanooga if we choose.
SavartiTN, did you walk or fly to avoid using Evil Oil?
Or did you drive yourself, ride with a friend, or hitchhike? How do you get back and forth from work?
Imagine what our economy would look like without the entrepeneurial spirit which led to American prosperity when gas stations at extremely fair prices gave us mobility unlike any prior generations had ever seen.
Imagine life without plastics - byproducts of Evil Oil. Class assignment: Watch It's a Wonderful Life and The Graduate to find out about the importance of plastics in the future. And ditch the class warfare. We need the resources of the rich more than they need us. Just ask Russia.
Here is something not hard to follow:
Senator Ron Ramsey voted for the $1 billion a year bailout plan to fund Don Sundquist's mismanagement of state government.
Ramsey's vote has now cost Tennesseans more than $10 billion over the last 8 years as total collections were increasing.
Ramsey raised the state sales tax by a penny per dollar in sales tax which today raises $778 million a year in additional taxes.
Ramsey raised the excise tax on businesses by a half-cent which raises $64 million a year in additional taxes.
Ramsey votes for taxes but says he is for tax cuts.
Do you believe Ramsey or do you believe his voting record?
But is this the same Zach Wamp who couldn't complete college due to drug use who is now telling us how to run our own business when he could not run his own?
This is the problem with Washington. Wamp couldn't get a security clearance to work for our government but can dictate the taxes we pay on gasoline at the pump, driving up the cost of doing business in America.
Is this the same Wamp who promised us only to serve no more than 6 two-year terms who is in his 8th term?
Is this the college drop-out? The only candidate not to complete college?
Quite eloquent. Quite loquacious.
Zach, did you look at Ronnie Boy's disclosure? You're toast and Ronnie's in the Lt. Gov. pulpit preaching to the faithful for the next 3 or 4 months.
At best, you get an appointment to some obscure Ass't Admin. Ass't. to the Ass't Dep. Commissioner in some department if you choose to support the winning candidate early enough because you can't pass the drug test the TBI runs on state Cabinet appointees.
Con. Wamp is quite right. Rep. Ramsey needs to start learning how to live under the laws he voted for and sponsored -- at least until this election is over.
