woohoo! You go Lightnup. Guess you did need to set the facts right, but again man, you are talking to a person who thinks they are fish...what does the Bible say about arguing with a fool?

Keep that up and you will be accused of being one of those town hall radicals? LOL!!

Aces25, quality post, thanks for the clarification.

Lightnup, right on! We have been self employed for 4 generations, employing 100's. You can bet we do look at all the issues you've outlined. What are we looking at now? Relocating to TN, no state tax! What part of Wealth of Nations don’t these libs get?

Alprova, funny you don’t employ 57 people anymore, big surprise. You need to understand capitalism to be a capitalist, you clearly are not. I suggest anything by Alexander Hamilton or Adam Smith. Just because Michael Moore says its so doesn’t mean it is.

BTW, GLB in and of itself would have been fine, it was the anti-redlining amendment euphemistically called the community reinvestment act which was added by democrats, and then signed by Clinton. That then coupled with the mark to market provisions of Sarbanes Oxley and the push by dems to manipulate Fanny and Freddy and you have just created a market for junk paper were none existed before. It may make you sleep better to externalize this mess, but just as water seeks its own level, you cannt long mess with capitalism.

You know, my wife, while doing a turn in the psychology ward during school 30 years ago had a patient who thought she was a fish. She would walk around making fish faces with her lips all day long. In her ignorance, my wife, a young student at the time, attempted to confront her. She said, why do you think you are a fish, the patient replied “because I am”. Well you don’t do that while you sleep, continued my wife. “yes I do” was the answer. It’s like that folks, the libs are so far gone they refuse to let the facts get in the way of a perfectly good theory. Reagan nailed it way back in 1964 “its not that our liberal friends are ignorant, its just that they no so much that isn’t so”.

In no country has this socialist manifesto worked. Nor can we borrow our way to prosperity. Nor can free health insurance for everyone actually fix health care. Nor is it profitable to debate a person who thinks they are a fish.

"They are protesting a tax system which is nothing more than a tool bureaucrats use to reward those who support them, punish those who oppose them, and redistribute wealth in a manner that benefits the incumbent. I can think of little which is more important".

Khargis, Fantastic! Most articulate, non-emotional piece Ive seen. Thank you .

LOL, John G, Me too, love it.

You are fortunate in TN. Was just in Chatt and Nash last week and many times before. Son and Daughter in law live there and went to school there. Lots of great folks. But also great resources, tax rates, value system, business environment. Be careful, come visit us here in WI, try to start a business here. Try to build a church here. Try to make money here.

Wait, I have a better idea, send Clay, Ollie and Alprova to WI, no joke, they would really LOVE it here, birds of a feather, and WE will move to TN. WI will soon look like Denmark, if you like that sort of thing.

As a side note, we here in Green Bay sort of got the initial "credit" for the big national exposure from the Lib Congressman Kagen's town hall meeting. Every national media outlet wanted to know who the "man in the yellow shirt" was. They finally tracked him down, was an 81 year old retired man, not a member of any group, wasnt contacted in anyway and came with no agenda.

I can assure all the conspiracy theorists that, at least in Green Bay our frustration and outrage is not a coordinated effort. We CAN actually think, DO believe Adam Smith and Alexander Hammilton were correct and DO know that governement consumes wealth and doesnt create it. We CAN think and react all on our very own. Execept in Madison WI and apparently the Bennett, Ollie and Alprova household.
