I assume that when they are talking about separation of church and state they are referring to the first amendment. Let's review: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . ." Cheerleaders making a sign DOES NOT constitute a law being passed or the GOVERNMENT forcing anyone to observe a certain religion. This event does seem to violate the second part of the amendment, specifically "prohibiting the free exercise thereof". THIS IS NOT A SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE ISSUE; THIS IS A FREE SPEECH ISSUE! But I don't expect the leftist kool-aid drinkers to understand that.
