I've never met Nails personally, but I know a few people who have known him for years and they all said that the person this article portrays is nothing like him at all. I guess my question to those of you in the traveling community that read this article is this. Are you going to judge someone you've never met based on an article that was written by a clearly naive journalist that has no idea what she's talking about? It was clearly written in a way to evoke strong emotions in the general public. I heard it was strategically released right before a big punk fest in Chattanooga. And shortly afterward law enforcement cracked down on travelers and local punks in the area. Doesn't seem very kosher to me.
