Okay, seriously, is this a swipe at Romney because of the color of his skin? This is the most blatantly racist statement I have seen from a "journalist" today. Shame on the TFP for posting this racist statement. Your attack is that 'Romney is white'?! Are you kidding me? Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Is Clay trying to say that Obama wasn't born in the US?

What?! A Bennett cartoon I agree with?! Republicans in this area decide elections. Why do you think that Mayfield (a life-long dem) ran as a republican? Bebb is just another dishonest politician, who, unfortunately, was in a better position to subvert justice and to trample on the rights of others. He is just another corrupt cog in the corrupt government of Cleveland & Bradley County. I pray that he is made to answer for his crimes! Keep up the good work, TFP!

Pro-Lifers see two people (not one), and abortion kills one of those people. If exercising your rights results in another's murder, then you must question the free exercise of your "rights". If you define abortion as murder, you must decide if there are situations which should allow the murder of an innocent child. Tough questions and tougher answers. None of this discussion, however, should draw our attention from the economy and the lack of jobs.

JustOneWoman is a filthy and offensive woman. The use of such a disgusting term as "Teab**er" led me to quit reading her comment. She is gutter trash.

When Reagan was President in 1984, 85% of non-dependents paid federal income tax. now in 2012, 51% pay federal income tax. It cannot work.

The NRA is all about protecting the 2nd ammendment. Why did we pass the 2nd ammendment? The first thing that the English did (in April of 1775) was to confiscate weapons; to disarm the population so that the population could be controlled. The 2nd ammendment ensures that we can protect ourselves from a government gone bad.

I love Bloom County - Opus rocks! But the principle upon which our government is based on recognizing the freedoms AND RESPONSIBILITIES that God gave us and protecting those freedoms and living up to those responsibilities.

Am I the only one offended by Clay Bennett's depiction of Southerners? He is as much a bigot as wyldmon.

wyldmon seems to be a typical angry liberal. I am a Christian, a conservative, a vegetarian, and a Constitutionalist. I support Gay rights. I also support freedom of speech. I actually don't believe that our government has any right to legislate marriage - a religious institution. This is properly the purview of the church. God gave us freedoms and our Constitution protects those God-given freedoms. While a gay partnership is not right for me, I cannot make that decision for others. I must defend their right to choose for themselves. I support traditional marriage. I also support civil unions for whoever wants them. And if a minister chooses to "marry" a gay couple, it is the responsibility of church membership to agree or disagree. That being said, wyldmon is a fool (an angry fool) with a very nasty disposition. As a vegetarian, I bought 6 chicken biscuits to give away this morning (from Chick-Fil-a). Before you crucify Chick-fil-a, look at all of the good they do for the communities they build in.
