Lumpy, as I see it, you have to suspend all empathy and humanity in order to be okay with war as it is utilized in this country, and with the staggering number of wars since this country was founded.
It truly sickens me. It is a pox on this country.
I find you particularly hypocritical and cold. You pour out your money to murderers, and war-mongers,and ignore the slaughter of millions of civilians. That's how I see it.
I would suggest reading Sister Helen Prejean's book "Dead Man Walking". Jesus was 100% against Capital Punishment. As far as I can deduce for these reasons: It is not a deterrent and it is not justice. Justice would be having the victim of murder, brought back to life. And that will not happen. So we are only left with vengeance. And "Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord"
As for legalized abortion, in my view, it is accepted in America for the same reasons we have legalized Capital punishment and other legalized killings. Hell, look at any movie marquee and I'll bet you see someone with a gun. And in that movie he or she will be killing someone.
So, if you would stop abortions, the first step to take is to put an end to Capital punishment. And then, quit glorifying killing.
harryS Why you support the recalls? Since when is name calling a reason? Sure, that may have made you feel good to put down someone, but what did it do for understanding? I don't live in your state, I don't know anything about these people, and guess what, your rant with so much hate and with no thought nudged me to a bit of sympathy for them.
Clay, you've pinpointed a major problem we have in America. How money is handled in our government is a disgrace, the excess of money corrupts our whole political system.
Personally, I think Clay Bennett's artistic talent is not so great, but his judgement is crystal clear. There are not too many people with his common sense vision. Furthermore, I would bet he is a Christian, (although, I don't know him) so to say he can't stand anything Christian, would probably be totally off the mark. As for his "Liberal bias", shoot, I think he's very middle of the road, with a lot of smarts.

Couldn't agree more.

The Opposition
WHO is my neighbor?
Prosperity
Our middle class is shrinking. That means our economic system is failing.
