I'm sorry this story isn't as riveting to you as fights that break out at Red Bank High School, you know, I know that someone getting shot and killed isn't something that piques your interest (AND THE INTEREST OF THE PUBLIC) as a journalist.
You have to realize, you cannot attempt to put your own theories in neutral journalism, you either have to be neutral or do some actual journalistic work in writing these stories. You note (and my god, what a brilliant investigator you are) that Chance liked "dirt biking and cars." You know what else Chance liked? Being alive, you prick. Instead of reporting matter-of-factly that there was a home robbery and a man was killed, you have to put all this useless extraneous information about how sometimes there were parties. My god, a popular guy in his early 20s is having parties in his own home? SURELY THIS WILL JUSTIFY AND EXPLAIN HIS HOME ROBBERY AND MURDER.
We care pretty strongly about each other in this community, and you writing half-assed stories about someone who meant a great deal to a lot of us isn't going to be received too well. It's a shame they didn't teach you any tact in whatever journalism program you supposedly graduated from.
But I'm not going to attack you anymore, Chance wouldn't have wanted it. He would have just laughed.
