STop judging this mother - without the facts about her or her life, you are judging her guilty before you have any idea what her life is like. Just because someone is poor and has no money does not make them a bad parent. I do agree that she should have noted some signs in her child's behavior that indicated she needed to get some help for her son who kept saying that he wanted to be in jail with his Dad. That statement would have been a clue to me that my child was really sad and I needed to help him. All she had to do was to go to any physician and they could have determined what kind of emotional state the little boy is suffering. I do believe that the child is probably not getting the attention he needs at this time of divorce and having a new man come into his life as his father. But, most parents going thru a divorce make the same mistake and that is not determined by whether someone is poor or wealthy. Be kind in your judgments of others - if you are really concerned, start a fund to help this child get the psychological help that he needs. If you don't want to help this little boy, don't judge the situation.
I would NEVER get up at 4:00 am and stand in line for hours to purchase items that I can get much more easily from the Internet. Black Friday sadly encourages people to spend more money than they can afford because they think thay are getting a great deal. In general, you can always find what you want online with no shipping chares and often no sales tax - saving sales tax is huge in TN since the sale tax in TN is very high.
Senator Corker is absolutely correct. Rather than throwing taxpayer dollars at the automotive industry, which should have been able to predict and prevent their financial problems; Obama focused on his "pet" project - health care reform. And, Obama focused on HIS pet project without regard to the cost that taxpayers will incur because of his version of health care reform. It didn't matter that most Americans are more concerned with social security, medicare and foreign affairs. Nothing matters to Obama except HIS agenda - this nation has become the "Socialist Republic of Obama" now rather than the United States of "Americans". Stay strong Sen. Corker and stand up for the real needs of America.
