100 Days to Football time in Tennessee, er Atlanta? I love my FB Vols but have no idea how they respond in this first game. It could be great it could be late. I hope for the best but really live in a cloud of uncertainty until the first few games. But I'm stickin with Rocky Top win or lose.
NFL Safer? Yeah I get the equipment concerns and technique but what about safety from all the lawsuits? DANGER, DANGER WILL ROBINSON!
Things must have been Hairy down in Austin with that letter deletion. I'm betting someone got a real good cussin' over that if not worse.
Finally, Boxing is gone. It has been ever since we could not figure out who was champion of what with all the letters WBF, WBA, etc. I don't think it is coming back soon.
Oh one more, Michael Richards(or vise-versa)Cramer on Seinfeld coudl play a mean Derek Dooley!
She can say whatever she wants to in the classroom as long as it is part of the liberal drivel. Let a teacher stand up with anything mentioned as only opinion about his/her religion, not just Christianity and here goes the neighborhood. The double standard is ridiculous. Whom do we want our children learning under, those who will allow all sides to be expressed in respectful terms or one who will allow only one perspective and call any other approach disrespect and go postal on the students? I think I know which of these most of us desire.
Looks to be another dumb move by an athlete who had everything to lose by doing something like this. No excuses, he had to know better. The message needs to be sent loud and CLEAR, this type behavior will not be tolerated.
Easy, it Easily makes into a newspaper because it is startling example of a teacher squelching free speech by her students. Her admiration for President Obama is no problem. Her stating he should be respected is no problem. The trouble came the second she allowed her passion to blur a simple question about whether or not Obama had bullied someone in school when one of her "Fact of the Day" statements pointed out that Romney was a bully from that reported incident which the family of the alleged victim does not remember. That's how it makes it into the newspaper.
All you so called "experts" on Christianity who have never tried it, cool it please! You apply parts of the Bible ie the Old Testament which was strictly Jewish law and guidance to all Christians. There is a New Covenant/Testament which takes a different approach. But you guys are of such superior(in your eyes)intellect and knowledge you make yourselves look very uninformed trying to invoke on Christians standards which do not relate to them. As for stroke of evidence for Christianity, show me wind but you believe in it because you see its results. Show me electricity, you believe in it because you see in dark places as result of its existence. Have you been out in space to know first hand the world is round or do you believe the pictures of people who say they have been? We pick and choose what we believe in whether we see touch hear taste or smell it. Finally I defy you to prove to me that this world would have been better if Christianity had never existed across the centuries. If you believe that you just are paying attention to history, books, schools, hospitals, orphanages and many other helps in society began as result of merciful Christians. But then you put your "faith" in those who insist on rewriting/misrepresenting history. Who is it that's uninfomed?
As a Bidness(using your term)deal, the SEC/BIG12 Champions Bowl is great. It may even be a good posturing for whatever evolves in the next few years in Division 1A NCAA football. But if they dawdle as we could happen, this might not be the best thing for the game. As with the Rose Bowl, any "tie-ins" can lead to stagnation and impediment of some best teams playing each other. That may not become the case with this new development. But my final contention is if it is held in Dallas, it will be ridiculous. Everyone knows how "neutral" that location would be for either Tayhas or Oklahoma. It will be interesting to see how this works out.
As for LeBron and company, they should put a hurting on the Pacers but I am unsure they can hang with the Spurs or Thunder. You are right, if he continues on with no Ring he will be more KING OF THE HILL(cartoon) than King of the NBA.
On Duffy Dufner, as he came to the 18th with that putt I was thinking NO WAY! Dude stepped up and WAY, in fact WAY WAY! It was a great win for him.
Braves--I'm all for them and glad to see them step it up but I am not into putting out letter grades. My teacher/wife does that and I am not saying what she gives me! ON WITH THE SPORTS BRIGADE!
Wow the "experts" are out in force today and so many just think we need to throw out all religion and vote strictly Democrat every election. Now that is a form of expert I can surely do without.
Oh yeah, put the presidential comapaigns in perspective. I am utterly amazed at the Democrat approach to demonize the 1% yet go after their money when needed to get elected or forward that part of the 1%'s agenda. It's all a bunch of hypocritical hype. And for all who think our more "progressive" advancements in political correctness is good for the country, just hang around a little bit longer and see a continued staggered economy, decadence morally and soon who knows to what extent people will go in desperation when so much that has been precious is seized by the government. But go on now espouse how this president and Democrats who have ruled Congress for most of the last 65 years are out to help the average American make a good living. That average American is being redefined as rich. Since the amount defined as being "rich" in tax-loving Democrats' eyes rules, how can you still use the term 1%?
And we know this president can and will blame everyone/everything else for his failed proposals, programs, and inexperience in running a business much less a country. But what the heck, give him another four years to blame others and drive us ever nearer that next Great...dare I even use the G-word, Depression. With or without him in the White House that is where we are headed if someone from some quadrant does not step up and lead rather than re-empower himself/herself.
A man who has 3.84 billion dollars, does what he has to do. Talking that language is foreign speak for most Americans except...when class warfare continues to be the posture of one of our political parties. My question is if he renounces the citizenship and refuses to pay the taxes on what he had up to the day he renounced, do we send a Seal Team to bring him back?
