Readers should be aware that the photo above is misleading. Local fire departments are NOT involved at the Market this year. It hasn't just been opened up to others. It is an entirely different event. Also, the proceeds do not go to the MDA as they have done in previous years. This is an important distinction for some; I know I always enjoy contributing to a worthy cause and seeing the fire fighters, our local heroes, and their good-natured ribbing. The long-standing event--with the fire departments and the MDA--was held in October at the Chattanooga Zoo during Go-Fest, and that's where it will be next year. Just a notable clarification.
