Clay this is my favorite one yet. My child's school didn't even give the students the option to watch the President's speech at school.

Moonpie - Nicely said, as always. Native - You said "Healthcare is NOT a right of the citizens, it is a privilege, a benefit provided by employers to employees who work for them" Let’s say your house is burning down and you need the fire department, or you have been robbed and beaten and you need the police. Should those things also be a privilege? When someone needs help, it should be available to him or her. No matter how much money they have.

NPR had an interesting report on Canadian Health Care this morning.

This is an interesting perspective that Americans usually do not here about. If you missed it, check it out.

The choice to put a child on medication should be entirely up to the parents and the child’s psychiatrist. I have two friends who put their children on Ritalin after a teacher suggested it. A teacher should have no right to pressure parents into this life changing decision. I understand that most children who take medication to adjust their attentiveness and behavior will continue taking medication their whole lives.

Great cartoon Clay! Musicman - I'm sure the goverment did a little background check to confirm that Obama is in fact a US citizen. Ollie posted a good link on this.

Snooksie, Sarah may have a degree in journalism, but you obviously don't. "Maybe she dont have a favorite and reads a lot" "Mrs. Palin is not idiot" "I got to tell her" Why did you have to make that so easy? I did not say she was an idiot. I said she is a joke. I'm sure she is a wonderful woman, but not one that I want running the country.

Well done Clay! Palin has never been anything but a joke. Here is some of my favorite Palin quotes. "As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where– where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border." --Sarah Palin, explaining why Alaska's proximity to Russia gives her foreign policy experience, interview with CBS's Katie Couric, Sept. 24, 2008

"All of 'em, any of 'em that have been in front of me over all these years." --Sarah Palin, unable to name a single newspaper or magazine she reads, interview with Katie Couric, CBS News, Oct. 1, 2008

"Well, let's see. There's ― of course in the great history of America there have been rulings that there's never going to be absolute consensus by every American, and there are those issues, again, like Roe v. Wade, where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So, you know, going through the history of America, there would be others but ―" --Sarah Palin, unable to name a Supreme Court decision she disagreed with other than Roe vs. Wade, interview with Katie Couric, CBS News, Oct. 1, 2008
