This is very sad. I knew Rich from class and he was a very bright, passionate student. This shows the devastating effects of what alcohol can do. And with all the white people comments, give it a break. Chattanooga's crime rate is higher than Detroit. People here sometimes get caught up in the beauty of the art district and Coolidge area, but there are a ton of shady, ghetto areas too. I believe justice should be taken care of, but I truly believe he never intended to carry out something like this. He was drunk and emotionally unstable and unfortunately made some seriously poor choices. My heart goes out to his family and his girlfriend's.
