Let it be known I'm not a "treehugger"; an extremist who can't step on an ant. But things of beauty must be recognized. The tangible TVA, remember, is acting its normally insensitive way.
When a government agency takes over $10 billion a year from local and state economies in seven states and turns it over to the U.S.Treasury Dept., what must the ratepayers expect in return? A pat on the head?
All the bribing with ratepayers' own money is not good enough; and then comes the ultimate con game, the "Green Power Switch". Can you believe anyone would voluntarily donate money to that TVA program? And believe something could be solved with only a "warm green feeling" in return? The magic of imaginary electricity!
It's no wonder, Judge Varlan will probably put the hammer on TVA.
It's odd that the latest news about TVA comes from nationwide sources first. Is the local media "quiet with no comment" for a reason?

Ahhh, the beauty of nature! Those who carelessly despoil it are in a league by themselves.
What? TVA must blame it on “the contractor”? They’re the closest around; what about the supervisors of the contractor? Of course, TVA is never to be blamed for anything. Maybe Judge Varlan, hopefully, will persuade TVA to stop and smell the roses.
