New York Mayor Bloomberg's response in this issue is unacceptable. Ground Zero is the site where 3000 innocent Americans were murdered in cold blood by Islamic terrorists on September 11, 2001. A Mosque built in that region would serve as nothing but a monument to the death of those innocent "infidels" and would be a constant reminder to the thousands of friends and family members that knew those victims, as well as a reminder to all New Yorkers of that horrific event.
It's fitting that the very people that claim that 9/11 was America's fault are the ones wanting to build a shrine to their conquest on that very site. It's very disturbing that the city's mayor would support such activity. But I guess it's expected, given that this is the same mayor that claimed that the failed car bomb attempt last May was done by a "...Homegrown, maybe a mentally deranged person or someone with a political agenda that doesn't like the health care bill or something."
Littlefield is a disgrace. When his annexation frenzy was halted in court, he decided (and a complacent council agreed) that property taxes needed to be raised. But not just 3 or 4% - no, he needed to raise them 33%. Of course, they settled on a "mere" 19% increase, citing the need to pay for city services for Volkswagen. Apparently, VW is too good to pay its fair share but the unemployed and underemployed citizens of Chattanooga aren't important enough to be of concern.
Now the power-hungry Littlefield wants to suck the rest of Hamilton County into his tax-and-spend city budget system so that he can pick the pockets of thousands more people. Apparently, his desire to spend has outgrown the ability for Chattanooga's residents to pay so he's going after more.
It's time to sign that recall petition and send Littlefield and his cronies packing.
Do these so-called "professors" really think that people are too stupid to fill out a simple voter registration form? I don't think so. It isn't rocket science - Georgia's voter registration system is a simple process designed to ensure that every eligible voter gets to vote, but gets to vote only once.
There's only one reason to want same-day voter registration and voting, and that reason is to stuff the ballot box with fraudulent votes.
Rather interesting how a few who were too spineless to show up at the event, instead resort to name-calling behind the safety of an anonymous user name.
Allegations that Millionaire entertainers (from Fox news, no less) or Dick Armey leading these events are beyond silly - No sign of either in Chattanooga. Just a couple of thousand folks that have grown weary of paying for an overgrown government and are tired of carrying the deadwood that have been dragging this country down for 45+ years.
Did the hard left really think that this sudden move towards socialism wasn't going to be answered by the 50% of the population that's expected to pay for it?
