HB 89 is the bill that made carry into restaurants that serve alcohol legal, and it wasn't passed last year. The law passed last year that got rid of the public gathering law was SB 308...

Carrying in a church is illegal no matter what the congregation "votes" on. There is no "holster requirement" in GA. The weapon does not have to be carried in a holster.

The author of this article needs to consider a new career, because this does not qualify as journalism, but it does qualify as negligence. If anyone follows the false information they read in this article, they will be breaking the law and will probably be arrested. It doesn't take much to read a few GA code sections to see what the law actually says, but I guess that's left to the real journalists.
