Reading your posts, I can't decide if you are a lunatic xenophobe, or a closet case homosexual. You can serious pull some bizarre examples out of your a.... Or are you putting things there? Kind of hard to tell with a whack job like you.
"mymy said...Go to youtube and watch some of the gay parades. Then ask yourself: does this help their cause. I think not."
You are exactly right. And I am saying this as a gay man. But keep in mind, those videos represent only a portion of the gay community. I have often said that the news coverage of gay pride events focus mostly on the absurd stuff that goes on, but not on the average Joe/Jane that lives their life with quiet respect, working mundane jobs and leading mundane lives.
It's just like way back a few decades ago how the media outlets wanted to portray all motorcycle riders and being some type of Hells Angels roughneck. Not the everyday person that just enjoyed riding them, breaking no laws and living an otherwise ordinary life.
If we wanted to take a small portion of peoples actions and label the whole group as such, then that would mean we would have to label all Baptists as being just like Fred Phelps family, just because he calls his church a Baptist church. When in reality, we all know that he does not represent all Baptists.
And as far as Mr. Cathy, it's not so much of what he said about gays and lesbians, it's his actions of making monetary contributions not just from his own pocket, but from the corporate coffers as well, to contribute to groups that would have homosexuality be made criminal. Some of the groups he has contributed to just stop short of saying, but allude to, that they would see homosexuals persecuted just for being gay. Now why should I be persecuted for something I can't help? (Trust me I hate to do this) but to quote Lady Gaga, I WAS born this way. I did not choose to be gay. In fact I fought it and refused to acknowledge it for many years. It was when I finally conceded that I could not change who I am, and accepted being gay, that I finally found peace within myself. Until that point, I hated and loathed the feelings I had and would have given anything to not have them. But my being gay does not mean I am a dress wearing, flaming sissy. On the contrary. When most people who have known me for any length of time finds out that I am gay, they are quite surprised. Because I don't fit the "stereotype" that many people have about us. But those of us who are like me have little representation in the media and hollywood. Instead they go for the outrageous and absurd. All for shock value and ratings.
Want to know what the bible really say about gays and marriage? Watch this short but accurate video that explains it all in easy terms that anyone can understand.
Yeah, lets all live like the bible says. Check out this little video that explains why we should. http://youtu.be/OFkeKKszXTw
What gets me are how some of the people who complain the loudest about the smell of cigarette smoke are usually drowned in whore juice perfume/cologne. Some are so bad that they immediately send me into an allergic attack. BTW, I smoke in my car when I am alone or have other smokers with me, and I don't smoke in my house. I try to be extremely courteous around nonsmokers.
I will quit smoking when valium is available over the counter. My cigarettes are what helps me calm down and cope with the idiots out on the highways and not go off over the general ignorance, selfishness and rudeness that way too many people demonstrate with their automobiles.
shifarobe said... A man having sex with another man is repulsive and depraved.
Well, that is your opinion, and you know what they say about opinions. My opinion is, sex with a woman is repulsive. Almost as repulsive as your hate filled ignorant rants. You might as well be in cahoots with Fred Phelps and his freak sideshow family.
Joneses, it's not from a fantasy land of lies and misinformation. It's the truth. As a gay man, I know first hand the inequities that are subject to gays and lesbians. First and foremost, we have no right of survivorship, even if the deceased has stipulated in an official last will and testament. If the deceased's family/next of kin so desires, they can contest a will or any other legal document giving survivorship or power of attorney, etc and have it overturned in a court of law. And yes, it does happens. Next of kin has and sometimes does prohibit the the surviving partner from access to the dying just because they don't agree with the patient's/deceased relationship. That is first and foremost why we want the right to marry. A gay and lesbian couple can be in a relationship for many years, even decades. But if the sick or deceased patients next of kin decide they want to bar the life partner from accessing them or having any decisions regarding estate or right of survivorship or care, the courts decide on the side of the family most of the time. Regardless what the patient/deceased may have officially put in a living will/power of attorney/last will and testament. So yes, we are NOT afforded the same rights and privileges as heterosexual couples. And before you go claiming it is a choice, don't even. I would give anything if I had not had these feelings MY WHOLE LIFE for the same sex. I tried many times to be straight, but it never felt normal to me. Some may choose to be gay, as well as some gays/lesbians may choose to live straight but for a vast majority of us, it is not a choice at all.
"All you so called "experts" on Christianity who have never tried it, cool it please! You apply parts of the Bible ie the Old Testament which was strictly Jewish law and guidance to all Christians. There is a New Covenant/Testament which takes a different approach."
You make a good point in the statement above to illustrate my point/opinion. The Bible is a story, rewritten countless times to fit the wants, needs, desires and prejudices of the person(s) "translating" it. In my opinion, it is nothing more than a collection of folk tales reminiscent of the Johny Appleseed, Paul Bunyan and his ox Babe, and many others tale of yore.
RE: Landfill fee policy promotes trash... I ran into a somewhat similar situation at the satellite facility behind McKamey in Hixson. I was out of town and missed trash day, so my trash can was over flowing. I had done some work on my home and had some carpet scraps to take off. I included "A".. "one"... a single solitary bag of household trash and was told I couldn't put it in the bins. I could completely gut my house and haul it to one of the satellite facilities, but can't drop off a single 13 gallon kitchen bag of house trash? How stupid is that?
