Once again we are exposed to opinions from those who post out of fear and jaded by the notion that the jury was composed of fools. Sadly society has become quick to convict a person through media testimony rather than allowing the legal process to work. Please understand that there have been many lives ruined through this tragic event. The strength of our community will be manifested in our ability to forgive and move forward. The truth and validity of the verdict is only known by God, the defendant and the killer. If the defendant is guilty, then may his guilt be the prison he lives in. If the killer is someone else, then may they be caught. Please do not belittle the jury, our community or continue to address the speck in another’s eye while ignoring the plank in your own.
