So how many times is this now that Littlefield and the Council have deliberately and knowingly given false and misleading information to the public to sway the annexation vote?

Isn't doing so a violation of the Mayor and Council members oaths of office and grounds for their removal from office?

I'm just amazed at the amount of BS and corruption city residents tolerate from their elected officials.

When we country residents saw this kind of nonsense going on with our elected officials we got the Department of Justice down here and they cleaned house in the Tenn. Waltz investigation. I think it's way past time for a sequel to that show.

"new districting for our political purposes. That may involve some annexation."

So Mayor Littlefield hasn't even annexed those county areas yet, and he is already talking about creative "redistricting" to weaken the political clout of the proposed annexed areas, and see to it that no new city council seats are added and the opposing voice of those proposed annexed areas is silenced. What's wrong Ron? Afraid that since Middle Valley and East Brainerd are so predominantly conservative and republican it will thwart your agenda if suddenly people in those areas can vote, or even worse- run for city office. To top it off he admits it's annexing for political purposes and not the good of the City or County residents. Scary.

Legally, Mayor Littlefield cannot annex East Brainerd.

Current TN state laws mandate a 3.5 mile unincorporated buffer between city municipalities.

Annexing across Jenkins Rd. would place the Chattanooga City border right up next to Collegedale's borders, it was the reason Collegedale had to stop it's last annexation where it did.
