Let's see - he left UTK b/c he believes he deserved more playing time and reps at the major SEC school. His behavior and comments since leaving lead many to believe that he is a spoiled brat who got so much attention in Chattanooga that he developed an over-sized ego that requires constant stroking. (TO, anyone? oh yeah, TO is actually a great athlete...)
Signed with one of the worst FCS (1-AA) teams, instead of an FCS powerhouse program that should clearly want him based on how unbelievably great he is, because it is his hometown team and they'll do things like have a press conference to stroke his ego upon signing, and b/c his daddy has influence with the coach so he can be treated as the next Johnny B Good.
Sounds to me like a guy who wasn't good enough for either of two coaching staffs to make him #1 is now settling down to the level where his combination of talent, work ethic, attitude, etc, actually belongs.
If Beej (as he calls himself) was the great future #1 draft pick that he thinks he is (and some posters think too) then he would've had better FCS or D2 options than the pathetic UTc program.
I wish BJ well, but I have a feeling this will be an episode that he'll look back on and regret. He has done serious damage to the reputation of his character - by exhibiting jealousy, quitting in the face of (a very small) adversity, and then going public with ranting, childish comments. He has shown a lot of bitterness and zero appreciation for the people who gave him a free top-notch education and an opportunity to learn at a great program.
He really needs someone in his life to bring his substantial ego back into check and give him better advice from a PR perspective. Someone should've been there trying to get that phone away from him and protect him from ruining his reputation with the public.
It makes things worse that he seems to think he is a better evaluator of talent than either the Fulmer staff or the Kiffin staff. Both staffs liked him and felt like he was developing along well but he thinks he is "the best" right now and should be granted the keys to the kingdom. It really is a shame.
Hopefully he'll choose to go to a low-profile FCS or D2 school to get a year of playing experience and straighten his head out. It would be good for him to realize how far of a fall it is from UTK to UTC. Maybe after a year of lower-tier ball he could come back to an FBS team with a level head.

Coleman weighing options
Wow, from all these comments by the 'Noogers I am beginning to understand where Beej, as he calls himself, gets his overblown self-worth.
