I am a Democrat strongly considering voting for Zach Wamp Because of several of Gov. Bredesen's policies. I am not happy with the statewide ban on smoking although I don't smoke. To me this just Screams totalitarian rule! The same goes for the seat-belt law. Benjamin Franklin said: "They who would give up essential liberty, to purchase temporary safety, deserve neither." If the good Lord wants you in heaven your seat belt won't save you. He;'ll send a bus through your front door ok? I also don't agree with the governor's method of stamping out meth because it hurts the innocent by making certain LEGAL drugs inaccessible to law abiding folks who need them.
The madman who has an Un-Registered, Illegal, firearm in his pocket and bad intentions on his mind, does not care who wants them and who don't. Perhaps folks like Carol Yager should conduct more research into exactly what is required in order to obtain a Tennessee State Firearm carry permit. Holders of Tennessee Handgun Carry Permits are not just a bunch of irresponsible jerks waving guns around. They must take a firearms safety class where they are taught, among other things, that anytime they shoot their weapon, they are responsible for wherever that bullet ends up both legally AND financially EVEN IF; it is in self defense. So please, Carol and everyone; study before you open your mouth. Thank you!
What good does it do to exercise your legal right and go to court? You never win anyway. The judge almost always sides with law enforcement. This is just more tyranny piled on top of the stupid seat belt law and taking certain LEGAL drugs off the market. Wake Up America!!! Ask for criminal charges to be filed against the District Attorney's office for filing false charges against you without having the proper proof or enough evidence. These are the days of DNA testing.
