Announced attendance or actual? [Injured or suspended?] I will guess 6,000 at kickoff [2pm], with half that leaving by 3:30 to get somewhere to watch UT-bammer.
Regarding the 2004 AU FB close call, I have 2 words: The Citadel. That was before the 12 game regular season schedule, and most big boy programs were not playing I-AA schools.
S-i-K: All that football makes me thirsty. Better grab a case or 3 on the way home.
Mike Connors was so cool in his role as a PI that we nick-named the coolest guy in our HS class "Joe Mannix"...set the stage for Tom Selleck as "Magnum" [not the malt liquor].
Coach Wade's offense [+ program] will have discipline. Mr. Shulman's did not.
Give me Nirvana, YES + Deep Purple.
I will be at Bobby Dodd Saturday. For the mailbag: If the Jackets finish at 5-7, who would be a good fit at Tech? Spy - feel free to chime in before Friday.
Will Wade was great at the QB Club meeting today...looking forward to the debut of CHAOS on Fri Nov 8.
Over/under on the attendance at Saturday's UTC Homecoming FB game: announced or actual? [Injured or suspended?] Announced for the WCU game: 6,789. They must have counted everyone in the pavilion that did not go to the game [like me]. I will go with over 7,000; one driver being free parking for students in the lot across from T-Bones...brilliant! Halftime bet: under 3,500. Go Blue...Be Gold...Go Mocs!
See what JMC did there? Wofford, Samford: top dogs [Terriers, Bulldogs]. Well played sir. Unfortunately, the Nov 16 game vs Samford is in B'ham. Too bad, because the Vols do not play that day; and a 6-1 [SoCon] Mocs team might draw 15K [actual attendance] on a sunny afternoon.
C-Niner: Kind of like you, this BillyVolsFan is looking forward to hoops...I will hang up and listen...
