I love your avatar, al! And I am a HUGE fan of your posts, which are carefully worded, well researched and clear. You have great patience in the face of a lot of insults and ranting.

So often you say exactly what I would like to say to people, but have neither the guts to say it nor the talent to say it with so much wit. I particularly like it when you express what so many of us think of religious extremism. Thanks for giving me so many laughs on days that I so badly needed them!

You're one of the first posts I look for and always enjoy your take. I also appreciate the humor and wish I could be funnier some times.

Keep up your great work!

We miss you! The right-wing wing-nuts are in need of a serious smack-down and you are nowhere to be seen. No one can deliver an eviscerating rebuttal with the surgical precision and side-splitting wit that you can. I hope that you are OK and are just off having so much fun on an exotic vacation that you aren't giving a thought to your 'comrades' back here dodging the s**t that is being slung our way. Come back soon!

Welcome back Al!

Hope all went well. Some new nuts have wandered in to give Francis a run for his money.

Enjoy!

Thanks, everyone. I spent a little time catching up and see that the due formerly known as Francis has changed his name again.

Interesting that trburrows claims to have been coming to this site longer than you-that profile was formed August 2009, well after yours. Sock puppet maybe?

Hello Alprova, I come bearing a gift. I gave it to Blackwater too. It's just a matter of who uses it first.

Use it when necessary. It should be especially useful hammering the Tasmanian Devil of this blog - Seamonkey, or others of his ilk. Don't forget to set him up first.

House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) often expresses concern for how Obama policies are supposedly a “grave danger to America’s prosperity.” Well, well, well - I found a Wall Street Journal blurb that finds Cantor actually invests in an exchange-traded fund that “takes a short position in long-dated government bonds” — effectively betting against the U.S. Treasury bonds that the government uses to fund its operations:

If Cantor truly cares about “America’s prosperity,” one would have to wonder why he is literally betting against its financial future.

Does this means he'll gain if he can shut the government down? Will Cantor gain if the GOP manages to ruin the recovery? I’d say YES to all those questions and more.

Traitorous isn’t it?

Here's the link.

You're welcome.

Thanks for the help with the Bachmann posting.

I had the feeling I should have been more explicit as you were, but I'm so tired, lately, trying to catch up with what happened to me in the last 12 months. Paperwork, housework, garden work, went out of my mind.

Thank goodness I have someone come in to cut my wire and crab grass. I'm so slow but very grateful I am home and able to do some things for myself.

I'm most happy that you are able to post sense. I admire your clarity and presentations. I wish I were more able to clarify my thougts as you do. I am very envious of your ability.

I command you to see this clip. It’s Dylan Ratigan raving. His rant is neither left or right. He may have lost his cool, but he’s EXACTLY RIGHT. This is could just as easily be me arguing with friends and co-workers. Maybe if enough people see this and think a little bit, we might be able to avoid the fascism on the horizon.

You don't help further your ideas at all when you resort to that type of dialouge.

How did you develope the seemingly emotional commitment you have to Clay Bennett? Are you Clay Bennett?

alprova i really believe that these idiots should've been jacked off on a ant bed. I believe that they unknowingly have A.D.D. and can not comprehend what it being said. I like reading your post as I have for over a year now. These guys tend to constantly repeat themselves but rephrase the sentences.

Conservative has crossed the line from trolling into stalking. He has posted comments addressed to me in three threads I have not entered at all. Is it time to flag his comments? Or do you think ignoring them will suffice? He is not of the caliber of Ken Orr, who needed to be banned for his own sake, so I have mixed feelings about it.

I agree that the man is off his rocker. He's certainly off the charts in terms of sanity, but I'm choosing to simply ignore the man. Hopefully, he'll get tired of posting and receiving no response.
