Every time the NAACP is mentioned in this newspaper the same small-minded people have to write their negative comments.Enuisenuf if you are tired of hearing the"so-called"whining then close your ears or better yet don't read the articles!Anything for the equality of ALL the children is for the best.
My prayers goes out to the family.May Mrs.Susan Woods rest in peace.
Woop Dee!!Sailorman and Exusiai in case you didn't know people with children are not the only ones receiving EBT benefits..DUH!There are plenty of seniors receiving benefits also.Like I said it is these peoples choice to purchase whatever KIND of food they want like it or not!!
Exusiai,You can only purchase FOOD items with a EBT card.Their choice of "groceries"is their own business.Anyway,I have noticed the difference in the prices myself.
Barry_s you hit the nail on the head!!You seem to have the first intelligent statement on here.
Here goes EXUSIAI ranting again about facts! The officer involved in the erlanger incident WAS A CPD OFFICER!Meaning that is where he received his TRAINING.You haven't got a CLUE who will coverup in any of these incidents.MONEY TALKS.
Exusia I am actually amazed that the only thing you want to focus on in my remark is how many times this man was tasered."IF" I am right or wrong about how many times this man was tasered it still does not change the question as to WHY WAS THIS FORCE USED ON THIS MAN IN THE FIRST PLACE,HELLO.Let me say again TRAINING,TRAINING,TRAINING!
Whoknows trust me police are far from unprotected. All this goes back to the training of the officers in question.WHY was a taser used on this man 3 times? What the 1st time did not work, was the officer TRAINED properly as to where to fire this taser.Tasers CAN be lethal if fired too close to the heart.TRAINING,TRAINING,TRAINING,that is what is important here, too many officers are losing their cools in these situations and people are dying.Coverup...maybe or maybe not however I have observed that the higher the ladder goes the BIG BOYS do not want to take responsibility for the mistakes these officers are making against people with mental problems or disabilities.Officers need to be able to take control of the situation not the situation take control of them.
I agree with you Civic_Minded.We the people do deserve better and not just the common"cover-ups"of these officers wrong doings.
Lightnup the only idiot I feel is present here is you.How dare you refer to a mental patient as a dumb a.If it was an old lady would you be saying her old a should have gotten up when she was supposed to?I'm seeing more and more that the law inforcement in this valley have no patience when it comes to mentally incapacitated people! They may not get paid enough on their jobs but they still have to follow the law like everyone else and if they don't like it find a career better suited for them.Rest in PEACE Mr.Edward Buckner.
