It's not a right vs left thing, it's a right vs wrong thing and he should be punished for it.

Heaven forbid we pay our officers overtime...err...straight time. These officers already get gipped out of real OT. Instead, they have to work 11 hours over in a week before they start seeing any overtime pay. We can't pay officers OT, but we can pay $32,000 for a hidden piece of "art"?

I'll donate some jackasses. They already have names: Ron Littlefield, Missy Crutchfield, Paul Page, and Richard Beeland. I'll even pay to ship them down.

Some of my friends and I were downtown last night and we saw this as it came onto Market St. We also saw him drive over a curb, hitting a sign, and then blow through 4th St without slowing. He almost hit two cars while going thru there. I can only imagine the naysayers comments if he or the police would have hit a pedestrian downtown. Lawsuits galore. I for one am glad they stopped it before someone got hurt. They'll get their man.

I wonder how many officers Chattanooga has and how many it needs. Someone told me the last time a staffing study was done was in the 90's. Chattanooga has grown a lot since then. I wonder if a modern study was done what the results would be today. Just how many more officers does Chattanooga need?
