The same could be said for most of your churches, memphisex that operate under the guise of serving the wayward masses. But only if you put something in the collection plate. Then you best protect your daughters and sons from the child molesters and pedophiles prending to save souls and preaching the word. Chattanooga is a joke. No wonder so many young people leave the city at first opportunity.

amyc, she wasn't living in section 8 housing. She was living in public housing. It's the same with any apartment or housing rules, even in the private sector. People, even the poor, weren't meant to live in isolation. They're going to still have friends over and, yes, even boyfriends or girlfriends.

First you have to define what actually constitutes "living" with someone? If someone comes over to your house and is still there the next day does that mean they are living with you because they stayed overnight? If you fall asleep in a chair at someone's house or apartment does that mean you lived there if only for a short while?

Just like people drink and drive. There are rules but people, by nature, are going to defy rules and at even laws. Especially, when those rules or laws go against the very nature of human nature. That is all animals, even the human animals, seeks out companionship. Even when there are rules and laws that say they can't.

Remember that song, "No man is an island. No man stands alone?"

This is indicative and predictable of what happens to people when they're broken down beyond repair.

I can second that one. Too many parents today are far too selfish. They lack that paternal protective instinct once the norm, we and our parents seem to have had. Today it's all about them. All about what they want. They are far too selfish to understand. that when you lay down together and create a life, that life becomes your primary responsibility. You have to place your own wants, and even sometime needs, on the backburner. These ills destroying our society have little to do with class, economic or social standing. As the problems can be found at every level of society. Rich and poor, black, white, brown, yellow, red.

If you're going to lay down and create a child, at least have the maturity and forsight to put that child and his/her needs first.

I think I'll become a DRUID.

All this my religion is better than your religion and my "god" can beat the crap out of your "god" with one hand tied behind "his" back. All this childish fightin' and fussin' over whose "god" is the better, real* 'god' is enough to turn anyone off.

The police should also enforce the law, rules and regulations. All tenants who are bound by the lease contract should be monitored to make sure they follow the lease.

Explain please. Why should tenants living in public housing be monitored any more closely than tenants living at any apartment complex where they had to sign a lease agreement? These public housing cops aren't enforcing the law as much as they seem to be abusing their authority. Because, as one cop once arrogantly admitted, "We can!"

MasterChefLen said... They should have just let him die a slow death on the pavement from his wounds.

Who? The accused or the victim? Or does it even matter anymore these days?

So will he or will he not have to register as a sex offender? What about Greg Austin? Did he have to register as a sex offender?

America has 6 year olds being charged with sexual assault for playing doctor with their playmates. One case in particular the prosecutor wants to child to have to register for life as a sex offender when he turns 18. But these real pervs get a free pass?

Obama didn't say Americans are lazy in the sense Mr. Barret is attempting to portray and distort his words. As usually, and it's to be expected, the right wing will always distort and take everything out of context to further their agenda.
