Dr McCullough seemed like to me he was trying to muddy the waters so to speak. His following line about the No Child behind kids was confusing. I am shocked the Tssaa didnt make him clarify how many hardship kids are playing sports at Signal instead of how many no child left behind kids are. There are many more hardship kids at Signal besides the one in question.
Dr. McCullough begins to familiarize the board with the school.
“For 50 years there was a middle school on Signal Mountain and three years ago we built a high school. Of our 1,330 students, about 129 of those attend out of zone. Half of those are out of zone through the no child left behind act. Six of those participate in athletics.
How many no child left behind kids play sports? Thats irrelevant. How many kids not zoned for Signal play sports?
SRICK: Maybe you forgot that Signal and Red Bank played in a one quarter jamboree earlier this fall... Signal won 13-0.
( no, red bank played McCallie, Signal was beaten by Bradley so maybe you forgot srick)
