"There is a verse in the Bible: “Whosoever breaketh a hedge,” sometimes translated as fence, “A serpent shall smite him.” That’s a marvelous verse. What does it refer to? Well, a fence in Bible times was a hedge, a hedge fence. On the borders of your field you would plant and this used to be true in England although those hedge fences are now being destroyed. You would take a strip around the borders of your field, let us say from here to the blackboard and plant shrubs there and trees, so that you had a few feet of solid growth. Well, and interesting thing would happen with these hedge fences. They would provide a place for birds to nest, there would be all kinds of insects hovering around those shrubs and trees that the birds would feed on, and underneath there would be a good place for snakes. They would not be exposed to the open field and to the cattle and to the plow, so this hedge fence of a few feet would have all kinds of wild life in it including snakes, poisonous snakes. Well, if during the night you wanted to break an opening through that hedge fence to let your cows go into your neighbors field and graze on it, you took a very good chance of getting snake bit. “Whoso breaketh a fence a serpent shall smite him.”
Now the Bible uses that to say “When you break God’s law which is a fence between good and evil, out of it will come a judgment against you. A good verse to remember."

Here's what we are voting for: The New Normal in the Land
Say son, what are you taking at Harvard? I'm sure you're not putting my money to waste. 'Well, I'm taking a course called what what in the butt'.
Anal sex is now a workshop offered at Harvard University.
Harvard University offered a student run workshop called 'What What in the Butt: Anal Sex 101' on Tuesday as part of their fourth annual Sex Week on campus.
Sodomy is accepted in the land Right ? Homosexuality & gay marriage is the new "normal"...so why not teach it at what was once the best school in our land ? !
Where government is seen, however, as a humanly devised
and authorized construct entered into by convention which
presupposes natural human rights, the representative is not
the head of his subjects but the agent of the citizens who delegate
authority to him. He then is presumably but a voice of
the general will to which he himself is subject. Moreover, in
this capacity as agent or minister of the populace, he acts in a
far broader capacity than merely taxation. He, in behalf of his
constituency, can do anything as long as it can be said he
follows the general will.
The woes brought on the modern world by majority rule
through agents or ministers of autonomous human beings
were long foreseen and notoriously disastrous. The whole
community is at the mercy of the greatest number, who in
turn are encouraged to be indigent and irresponsible in order
to sway the majority. “Tax and tax, spend and spend, elect
and elect” is wicked and disastrous; but there is no choice for
those who are foolish enough to think there is any such thing
as human rights. Those who can best manipulate the greatest
number at the polls to get in line for government handouts are
the rulers of the world.
The end has to be nothing; only the grin is left of the Cheshire
What's Wrong with Human Rights,
Inquringmind. I go back a long way, actually. I just don't LIVE on Clay's page like you do....
The state is a law structure, and every law structure is inescapably a religious establishment. All law is an expression of some form of moral order, codified and made legal by acts of state. Moral order rests on a concept of ultimate order, on a theology. The source of law in any system is the god of that system, in that law-making is an attribute of sovereignty. This ’god’ can be man, the state, or some other entity which is made ultimate and sovereign, and is thus the working ‘god’ of the system.
Every law on the statue books is concerned with morality or with the procedures for the enforcement of law, and all law is concerned with morality. We may disagree with the morality of the law, but we cannot deny the moral concern of law. Law is concerned with right and wrong; it punishes and restrains evil and protects the good, and this is exactly what morality is about. It is impossible to have law without having morality behind that law, because all law is simply enacted morality.
The point is this: all law is enacted morality and presupposes a moral system, a moral law, and all morality presupposes a religion as its foundation. Law rests on morality, and morality on religion. Whenever and wherever you weaken the religious foundations of a country or people, you then weaken the morality also, and you take away the foundation of its law. The result is the progressive collapse of the law and order, and the breakdown of society.

inquiringmind: God told us to take dominion over this earth.
Who believes that this world and the world to come is Christ's? Kuyper said every square inch of this world belongs to Christ (Colossians 1: 15-20) as all Christians should. The Dominion mandate (Genesis 1:26-28; Genesis 9:1-5) and the renewal of the Dominion mandate found in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) is speaking to the conquering of Christ’s Kingdom in the here and now. This is very real and touches every human institution. It’s the answer to our modern bent to over-gnostisize everything that is Spiritual. This is the duty of every Christian. Our Liege Lord commands us to “follow Him”...Not a government that hates Him.
All Reconstructionists (hopefully you have read some of them) would fully admit that the Church has her duties, that transforming culture can never, ever start without the good Gospel of our dear Lord Christ. There is not one iota of utopian idealism in any of the writings. But what is the antithesis to utopian idealism? Dystopian idealism? Surely you are not advocating for Dystopia? And finally, R2K has done more to convince the “theonomists” in your midsts that it is the only biblical stance as it is a rich and fully-formed understanding of the Scriptures and Sanctification of the Saints, then the “Reconstructionists” could dream.
