The voters in the TN US 3rd and the TN US 4th Districts of the US House of Representatives missed their chance of getting rid of two Republican incumbent, useless Party BODIES who have done very little to represent the people of TN. Why did the majority of only 29 per cent of the TN registered voters, vote against their self interest by helping put the Republicans in total control of the two bodies of Congress during the last two years of President Obama's second term? The majority of the voters apparently had their reasons?

Part of a Letter to the Editor CTYFP "Thanks, Mary, for giving it a shot

I, for one, along with the tens of thousands of others who voted for Mary Headrick, am grateful to her for giving us the opportunity to vote for a realistic, compassionate and results-oriented candidate." VIRGINIA M. JONES, Oak Ridge, Tenn

The people who did not vote in the election at all, although they may not have thought about it that way, helped elect, and expressed approval, of a representative who was clearly against a living wage, women's rights and affordable health care.

GaussianInteger said... There is no definitive "proof" that the stimulus didn't work. Many economists have evidence that the recovery would have been much longer and more difficult without the stimulus. GaussianInteger, there is certainly Proof that the "stimulus recovery package" did help prevent another great depression! Of course the Republicans (enemies)did not want US Government interfering in the private sectors after they had the economic conditions set for another great depression to occur on the Democratic Party's watch if they could prevent President Obama from using the power of the Government to stabilize the effects/ conditions being caused by the 2007 great recession.

IT appears that Chuck does not realize the crisis conditions that were being created by the 2007 great recession or all of the comprehensive effects of it or what needed to be done for preventing this Country from falling into another great depression? Chuck, as A member of the Republican Party and being controlled by the National Party's principles has always voiced strong opinions against any government spending even after being elected in 2010 by the protest vote when the objectives of Republicans' were to cause the failure of President Obama. After the President has been elected for a second term and has two years more to serve, have the Republicans through their tactics and their strategies been able to convince and confuse the voters not to vote for the Democratic candidates, so that they can have control of the US House and the US Senate? November 4, 2014 is close and there if the voters have any thinking ability left for their self interest, PLEASE VOTE for the Democratic Candidates.

timbo, IT appears that you do not realize the crisis conditions that were being created by the 2007 great recession or all of the comprehensive causes of it or what needed to be done for preventing this Country from falling into another great depression? What gives you the right to call anybody "partisan" when you are certainly showing extreme examples of partisanship? Do you not expect people to disagree with your biased opinions? You have voiced strong opinions against government spending, but you have not explained why you are against the necessary government spending during certain crisis conditions? Can you prove that President Obama's stimulus recovery package was a complete failure? When you speak against controversial issues as if what you are saying amounts to the facts, it does not make for the truth.

timbo, why do you think it was OKAY for the Republicans to go against their anti-government principles to use the $700 Billion dollars of unfunded, BORROWED money FOR the government to BAIL out the FRAUDULENT financial systems? Then when President Obama took over his enemies tried to in everyway they could to not only cause his failure but to cause a division of the voters and to incite the loss of respect for our President with the negative tactics of lying and biased misinformation. Yet, you appear to approve of this type of strategy, with the unlimited money supply from the corporations, paying for these means of untruths?

timbo said..."I don't give a damn what McConnell said about Obama" timbo,I do not know what you are talking about. Senator McConnell made his speech soon after Our President took the office. McConnell did not say anything about the President,. but was condemning the voters for electing the President. Because of the voters electing OBAMA as our President, it was the Republicans duties to prove that the voters made their mistake, by the Republicans having decorations of war with objectives to cause our President's failure, insuring that he was a one term President.

timbo, Thank you for pointing out what the economic conditions were in September 2008. I do not agree with you about the spending and that the $700 Billion dollars that Bush and Paulson begged for in September 2008 solved the effects of the 2007 great recession.

timbo, if you are such A grown up person, where is your smarts and your judgment capabilities? The article is correct, but it is people that think as you and forget or ignore the events of the past Republican Administration's fiasco for eight years and the conditions of the failing economy before President Obama was even elected.
Then after President Obama took the OFFICE Senator McConnell spoke for people as you in DECLARING WAR, inciting for the people to show disrespect toward our President.
President Obama was elected for a second term and has endured all reof the attempts to cause his failure. Therefore, we are thankful that our Republic is still functioning and not in another great depression as it would have been if the Republiocans had been in control.

Democrats better get to the polls How are we going to get the Democratic voters out to vote if we do not give them the reasons that should make them angry and eager to vote against what the Republican are trying to do with their unlimited money supplies? There are plenty of issues to discuss and any one issue could be the determining factor for winning this November Election for the Democratic Party,. But if all of our discussions are with/to the "choir" and not enough of them show up to sing when it's time for them to sing, then there will not be very good music. We forget that the people who have declared war on our President and the voters who elected him, are definitely not interested in doing anything for moving this Country forward from the economic conditions caused by the 2007 great recession. ALL of The facts are out for the public viewing and the listening for what the Republicans have done in their obstructionism to cause the failure of our entire Republic by trying to put it into another great depression.

If the Voters in the TN 3rd District of the US House of Representatives really want to elect and send a well qualified knowledge person for representing the people who elected her, then it has to be Dr. Mary Headrick. Vote for all of the Democratic candidates in the November 2014 General Election. This is the year for the Democratic VOTERS to REFRESH their Memories by taking back the US House and keeping control of the US Senate.
