Black people in Europe don't act or behave like black people in the USA. So clearly it is a cultural and lack of education problem. Get the chip off your shoulder, start caring about your community/family and help yourselves to an education. The inner city schools have more tax money per student and resources thrown at them then the suburban schools. Suburban schools have a lot due to their community providing for them. Stop blaming teachers for your failed society! I am sure some will say this is racist and it is not. I am just sick of the poor, poor me and it is everybody else fault attitude.

@alohaboy: We will just let the death row inmates stay at your house since you love them so much. Was the guy not guilty or let go on a technicality like usual. You said “We have moved on in punishment” I say “We have degraded in punishment not only in our prisons but also at home. If we keep going down this liberal path we are sure to become an anarchist land.

@alohaboy: Jews have been known to stone a few people. It is not just a muslim thing. Just like hanging was not only done to black folk, many others have died from a noose. I would like the guillotine to come back into vogue. The convicted murder gets more rights and a humane treatment then their victims. It is a Christian country; so let the convict have a short chance to be witnessed too, pray that he asks Jesus to forgive him, and then off with his head!

Stones can be legally obtained right here locally.... Let’s just go back to public stoning! I promise it will lower crime rate! Cruel and unusual? Not as cruel and unusual as murdering someone on purpose, these convicted murders did not kill by accident they did it with forethought and had intent.

To tnvret: Your comment "We pay a yearly subscription fee for fire service in the county (http://www.tricommunityfire.com); you don't sign up, you have no fire protection." is not true. If you do not pay the yearly fee, the Tri-Community Fire Dept. still respond and provides the same service as if you do subscribe. The difference is if you do not pay the yearly subscription you will be billed for the response.

The last time I checked the volunteer fire departments were subscription based. That means most all of their funds come from the people they protect. Very few come from Hamilton County as a whole, like less than 10%. The city of Chattanooga wants to talk about unfair taxes; how much federal funding has the fire, police, and parks received from federal grants, which is all of our money. Let’s talk about subsidizing! I have heard people saying, “Well they use our parks”. Well, every time I have used YOUR parks, I have used YOUR restaurants. I paid YOUR taxes and YOUR parking fees. From now on, I will shop, eat, and go to parks in Collegedale. By the way, everyone is welcome to use our (Collegedale) parks. Also, our roads are pot hole free and crime is at a very minimum. It was none of my business, until YOUR mayor brought up metro government. I do not want metro or consolidation. It will only cost me more money for fewer services in my community. When the city of Chattanooga got rid of the ambulance, 911 center, or schools did they ever lessen YOUR property tax? YOU need to ask WHY! But they have great art!!! lol
