It's very unfortutnate that a professional with these skills is being wasted. Their is so much need in this area and nationwide for mental health counseling. I hope this gentleman is able to find a position in our community where he is valued. Hats off to Neediest cases for seeing a genuine need and assisting this man.
I did focus on the positive, what the buisness is doing is a worthy ministry. On the negative side it is unfortunate that a business would have to rely on partnerships with churches that promise things on the front end, but do not deliver when it is time for the commitment to be honoured. My point was if a pastor is putting his name and church's reputation on the line and is not even willing to give a
family a ride to church how can the buisness expect them to come thru on getting donated cars. I hope the business does succeed I just hope they start looking for more reliable sources for the donation of the vehicles and futher more if more churches took care of the people in their congregation and the community then businesses wouldn't have to take up the slack.
I find this to be a very worthy ministry. There defintely is a great need out there for people. However, what I find to be interesting is that Pastor Mike Battles is partnering in this endevour to help “trustworthy, honest people who really need help” to get transportation for work. That's interesting considering the fact I contacted their church Freedom worship Center and the pastor and neither was willing to give me and my children a ride to church. I see where he said the "plan could be in motion by the beginning of 2011". In the mean time are they assisting people who need transporation to church, hospitals, job interviews so forth and so on? I think this is just another case of a church with too much time on their hands.
I pray that Mrs. Craft is granted this vistation and that in time her children will be permnantly reunited with her. Mrs. Craft if you read this please know their are people out here that are praying and believing God for their to be restoration for this time you have lost with your children time you will never get back that is the "true crime" in all of this situation.
I would like to know how the residents of the Superior Creek are going to be able to take legal action against the management. I tried three seperate times to get my car towed out of that area before it ruined my vehicle and was told they would not allow tow trucks thru. If they had allowed them thru or if all the first responders standing around that I begged to help me push my car into the road I could have saved my car and all of my belongings that were in the trunk. My car insurance does not cover this and now my car is garbage after it was not allowed to be moved. I want to know who will be responsible for replacing my vehicle and all the other innocent people who were affected by this devestation. If you were effected by this or are an attorney seeking to represent a very worhty cause lets join together and not let the management get away with just laughing this off and trying to cover up their neglegence.
I am glad that the people who came out to this "job fair" found employment. Sad to say though, it wont be long and they will be back to filing for unemployment. Most people know if you have ever worked at Convergy's they constantly lose their contracts and the projects they are working on. They treat their employees horrible, and their call center is very nasty and unsanitary. You better be bringing a gallon of clorox bleach if you have a prayer of not coming down with a terrible infection. I hope the people that have Master's degrees and higher education are not holding their breathe for a position their other than customer service. They will tell you a good line, and keep you hoping, but in the end you will only get your $10.00 an hour. So folks if you did get hired on dont stop looking in the meantime!!! As Convergy's sign says from the Interstate "Now Hiring" lol I wonder why>
