Hello Mr. Lundreth,
Try to do something remarkable. You are a mediocre shame to the city.
When will the powers that be wake up from their "good ole boy sense of entitlement" and realize that?
Perhaps then, will there be progress in making Chattanooga the iconic southern city that, as of yet, has not happened. There is a lot of money that can flow into Chattanooga from New York, Philadelphia and Boston.
Make that happen and my opinion of you will do a 180.
Dear Times Free Press Opinion Page Editor:
I never rant but feel the need to do so now after reading the latest of the Chattanooga Airport's numerous shortcomings. I am sorry to speak my perception of the truth, but until the true visionaries of Chattanooga get smart and demand the replacement of the current Airport Management, the city will never have what really serves it businesses and residents best.
First and foremost, Mike Languth is seemingly incompetent and should have been fired a long time ago. The city needs a leader, not someone who needs a position and a paycheck with his name printed in the newspaper occasionally.
When the city wakes up from its self-induced half-baked daze as a result of luring Volkswagen to set up operations there, the airport problem will continue to under-serve the people of Chattanooga well below its true potential.
