It is time for the church of this city to wake up. Quit talking about buying new carpet for your church or doing renovations or building an expensive cross to show how great you are. How about helping the members of this community. With all the wealthy churches that are in this area. There is no reason for their to be a halfway to homeless problem. I am so tired of churches saying they are unwilling to help people in their community and refer them off to someone else. Jesus came to help the sick and impoverished he said they are the ones that need a doctor not the well. Stop preaching about transforming Chattanooga and place the words of Jesus into practice. Instead of having a traditional service in a church each week how about visiting the folks of Superior Creek lodge and some of the other extended stay places of our area and spread some true Christian cheer.
